The Our Baseball Life Foundation was created by the women behind Our Baseball Life, LLC.
Their passion to help create a safe place for the families of professional baseball along with a call to provide much needed support and resources fueled their drive to start a foundation which would directly provide financial assistance to the baseball community.
OurBaseballLife.com was created in 2010 to resource and support the MLB community. Since its inception, OBL has evolved to become the one stop shop for anything a pro baseball player or family would need to navigate this unique lifestyle. With everything OBL has done over the past decade, it was only natural to extend the platform to include a charitable arm to be better equipped to serve the community in a philanthropic way.
Meet Our Team
Lory Ankiel
Lory Ankiel (Rick) has been in the baseball community for 15 years. She is the Founder of OurBaseballLife.com and The Athletes Guide, LLC. She and Rick live in Jupiter, FL with their 2 sons, Declan and Ryker. Throughout her years in baseball, she has collaborated with the community on many occasions to step in when help was needed and with The OBL Foundation, will be able to increase that support immensely.
Alysa has been in professional baseball for her entire adult life. Over the years, she has seen firsthand the challenges facing baseball families whether it’s as small as trying to move everything in the middle of a hurricane while your husband is halfway across the country (yep, this happened to her!) or as big as an unexpected tragedy that sends shockwaves through the entire community. As we’ve all learned this year, life can change pretty quickly. Building up the OBL Foundation will put us in a unique position to be able to help our pro baseball families quickly and effectively whenever a need arises. She is excited about supporting the women in the baseball community with business grants as they invest in their dreams and blaze their own path in this uncertain world.
Paige Murphy
Paige has been in baseball since 2004 with her husband of 13 years. She has been partnered with Alysa and Lory since 2017 helping to build the OBL Community and work on their shared goal of making baseball life easier to navigate.
The OBL Foundation has been a welcome extension to the work she has put so much energy into these past few years. She has seen a tremendous outpouring of love and support from the community to those who have lost children, spouses and livelihoods dues to various tragic causes and looks forward to creating a new safe space for other to find help and support.
